Profile/Testing Information

Reflex Information:

  • PFA-EPI is ordered when the request is for a reason of pre-operative aspirin therapy, abnormal bleeding, or response to treatment for von Willebrand disease. If this test is abnormal (high), PFA-ADP is reflexed onto initial order.
  • PFA-ADP is performed if the PFA-EPI is high or if reason for PFA is postoperative.

This test may automatically reflex to other tests. An additional fee may be added. The ordering physician/provider must indicate if the reflex test is NOT DESIRED. Indicate on order if no reflex test is desired.
