Specimen Requirements
Serum should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection.
- Draw blood in a red-top tube(s).
- Spin down immediately, separate serum from cells within 2 hours of draw
- Send 1 mL of serum refrigerated.
