Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive at Laboratory of Immunogenetics and Transplantation within 24 hours of draw. Contact Billings Clinic Laboratory at 866-232-2522 to discuss the best specimen transport.

• Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s).
• Serum gel tube is not acceptable.
• Spin down and send 1 mL of serum refrigerated.
• Forward promptly.
• Patient’s Social Security number is required on request form for processing.
