Specimen Requirements

  • Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s)
  • Send 5 mL of unprocessed EDTA whole blood refrigerated.
  • Do not centrifuge.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Forward unprocessed whole blood promptly.
