Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s).
Label specimen with patient’s name and a second unique identifier.
Send 3 mL of unprocessed EDTA whole blood refrigerated.
Do not centrifuge.
Forward unprocessed whole blood immediately.
