Chemiluminescence Microparticle Immunoassay (CMIA)

 

Specimen Requirements

Serum should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection.

 

  • Draw blood in a serum gel tube(s).
  • Spin down and send 3 mL of serum frozen in plastic vial.
  • Draw date is required on request form for processing.

Reject Due To

  • Heat-inactivated specimen
  • Grossly hemolyzed specimen
