Specimen Requirements
Serum should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection.
- Draw blood in serum gel tube(s).
- Spin down and send 4 mL of serum divided into 2 plastic vials each containing 2 mL of serum.
- Send specimens frozen in plastic vials.
- Draw date is required on request form for processing.
