Specimen Requirements
- Total ejaculate in a sterile container supplied following at least 2 days and no more than 7 days of abstinence.
- During initial evaluation of a potentially infertile patient, at least 2 evaluations should be performed (collected between 7 and 21 days apart).
- Forward promptly.
- Do not refrigerate.

Profile/Testing Information
- If no spermatozoa is noted, a fructose test is performed. A positive result indicates the fluid is semen.
- If > 5 round cells are present, a LeucoScreen™ is performed
- If > 30% agglutination is present, then a Sperm Antibody (MarScreen®) is performed
- If < 40% motility, then a Sperm Antibody (MarScreen®) and Vitality Screen are performed
